A towing cable set for a model of the Polish 7TP light tank in 1:35 scale. It replaces a plastic part that never looks pliable.
Responsibility details are not available.
The 7TP was a Polish light tank of the 1930s and in 1939 it made up the most modern part of the Polish armored force. It was a small machine with a rotating turret, and today it is built mainly in 1:35 scale. A towing cable belonged to its ordinary equipment just as it did on the other tanks of the day: it hung on the sides or at the rear of the hull and was visible at first glance.
A towing cable for a model of the 7TP tank in 1:35 scale. The set replaces a cable molded in one piece with the hull, which tends to be stiff and straight. A replacement cable can be bent and laid the way it would lie in reality, which is one of the most noticeable differences on a finished model. The execution, the length and the number of pieces are given by the manufacturer's instructions.
Shape the cable dry first and try out where it will run, and only then seat it. Glue the ends with cyanoacrylate in small doses and hold them until the glue takes. Wash and degrease the surface before painting and apply a thin coat of primer, as otherwise paint will not hold on a smooth material. A final soiling does the cable good: in service it was greasy and rubbed down to bright metal on the edges.
For modelers who are taking a 7TP build down to the detail and want the equipment on the hull to look pliable. It is an evening's work and it shows on the result straight away, because the cable lies in the viewing plane of the model. The tank kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
