A photo-etched detail set, Pz.Kpfw. II Ausf. L Luchs (Sd.Kfz. 123) - vol. 1, basic set, in 1:35 scale from Aber. A metal accessory for a faithful build of the reconnaissance tank, not a standalone model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A basic photo-etched set in 1:35 scale for the German Pz.Kpfw. II Ausf. L Luchs light reconnaissance tank (Sd.Kfz. 123). It is neither a tank model nor a complete kit, but a collection of fine photo-etched metal parts that replace and refine the details of the plastic base model: fenders, meshes, brackets, hinges and small metal fittings on the hull and turret.
The Luchs, meaning lynx, was the final development of the Pz.Kpfw. II light tank family, intended for reconnaissance. It had a reworked suspension with interleaved road wheels, a low rotating turret and good speed across country. It was fielded by reconnaissance detachments on the Eastern as well as the Western Front.
Separate the photo-etched parts with a sharp knife and make the bends on a sheet bending tool. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Finish and paint the running gear before you close up the hull; weather the surface with a wash and pigments for mud and dust effects.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base model, glue, paints and other parts are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
