A resin replacement running gear part for models of vehicles of the PzKpfw III family in 1:35 scale. It is not a kit but the idler wheel itself, that is the rear wheel that keeps the track taut. The casting is conceived as disassembled, the individual parts of the wheel are separate and are joined only during the build. That gives you sharp detail on both sides of the disc, which injection-molded plastic cannot offer because of the parting line of the mold.
The idler wheel is not driven, it sits at the rear of the running gear and the tension of the track is set by it through an eccentric mounting. That is why its position is slightly different on every vehicle, and when building a model it is a detail that affects how naturally the upper run of the track will sag. The designation for the whole family means that the wheel is common to several vehicles built on this chassis; the particular list is not stated here.
Wash the castings in warm water with detergent so that the mold release agent is removed. Cut the casting blocks off with a fine-toothed saw and level the surface by sanding wet with respiratory protection. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Try gluing the wheel on only after the track is fitted; with endless tracks made of individual links you will fine-tune the sag more easily that way. Apply a primer before painting; on a finished running gear, dust pigments and a dark wash into the recesses of the disc then work well.
This is an accessory to a plastic kit, not a standalone model. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
