Aber photo-etched tool boxes for the Soviet KV-1 and KV-2 tanks (late type for early fenders) in 1:35 scale: the add-on set (vol. 5).
Responsibility details are not available.
This is not a tank model but a photo-etched metal detail set (vol. 5) from the Polish manufacturer Aber. It holds late type tool boxes intended for the early pattern fenders of the Soviet KV-1 and KV-2 heavy tanks. The metal boxes replace the simplified plastic parts and raise the fidelity of the model.
The KV-1 and KV-2 were Soviet heavy tanks from the start of the Second World War with thick armor; the KV-1 carried a 76 mm gun and the KV-2 a 152 mm howitzer. The tool boxes mounted on the fenders changed in design during production, which is why the manufacturer offers both an early and a late type.
Bend the photo-etched box walls along the etched grooves into a box shape and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue; the small corners can be spot-soldered. Degrease the metal before painting and apply a primer.
The set holds photo-etched metal parts only. The base plastic model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
