This is not a tank model but a photo-etched metal detail set (vol. 3) from the Polish manufacturer Aber, focused on the late pattern fenders of the Soviet KV-1 heavy tank. Thin metal fenders look more realistic than plastic ones and allow combat wear to be suggested as well.
The KV-1 was a Soviet heavy tank from the start of the Second World War with thick armor and a 76 mm gun. It went through a number of changes during production; the late pattern of fenders differed in shape and workmanship from the early versions.
Take the fenders carefully out of the fret, shape them along the etched grooves and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. For the look of a used vehicle the sheet can be slightly bent or torn. Degrease the metal before painting and apply a primer.
The set holds photo-etched metal parts only. The base plastic model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
