A set of photo-etched side skirts for the running gear in 1:35 scale from Tetra Model Works. It replaces the coarser plastic side skirts on plastic kits of the Soviet T-64A, T-64B and T-64BV tanks with thin metal parts. It is not a model but a detail accessory that raises the realism of the sides of the vehicle. The set is meant for Trumpeter kits.
The T-64 is a Soviet main battle tank that was one of the first to introduce an autoloader and composite armor. The T-64A, T-64B and T-64BV versions differ in their equipment and fire control; the T-64BV also carries reactive armor. The side covers of the running gear are characteristic of these tanks.
Remove the original plastic side skirts and level the surfaces. Separate the photo-etched parts with a sharp knife, shape them with a bending tool and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The thin metal allows the side skirts to be realistically bent and damaged. Degrease the surface before painting.
The set holds photo-etched accessory parts only. The base plastic kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
