A resin model of an old safe in 1:35 scale from the Czech maker Hauler. It is a stand-alone addition to a scene, not a vehicle kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A small addition for building scenes and dioramas in 1:35 scale: a model of an old steel safe cast in modeling resin. It is not a model of a vehicle or a kit but a stand-alone object that gives an interior or a bombed-out building a story. The casting is supplied unpainted and on a casting block, from which it is freed once cut off. The maker Hauler has long specialized in photo-etched sets and resin accessories for modelers.
First wash the part in lukewarm soapy water to remove the mold release residue, otherwise the paint will not hold. Cut the casting block off with a fine saw or a knife and sand the surface. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue; ordinary cement for plastic does not work on resin. Lay on a filler primer before painting, then a dark metal or deep green shade. Bring out the edges and the fittings with a dry brush and add the weathering with rust from a pigment and a dark wash in the recesses.
For builders of dioramas and vignettes in 1:35 scale who are looking for convincing interior furnishings, and for modelers who want to give a scene something out of the ordinary.
The addition is supplied unassembled and unpainted, cast in resin. Protect your airways when sanding resin and work in a ventilated space.
