About product

Scorpion Track Late Version (1:35, AFV Club)

A supplementary set of replacement tracks, not a stand-alone model. It contains workable individual link tracks matching the late version of the running gear of the British light reconnaissance vehicle of the CVR(T) series. The tracks are assembled from individual links and stay flexible once glued, for a faithful sag.

The real subject

The FV101 Scorpion was a British light reconnaissance armored vehicle of the CVR(T) family. It was notable for its aluminum armor, its low weight, its high speed and its good ability to cross rough ground. The late pattern differed from the early one in details of the running gear and the tracks, as the vehicles went through upgrades.

Building and painting tips

Clean the links of sprue gates and join them in sections. Fit the movable tracks only once the running gear has been varnished. A dark wash into the links and dust pigments will bring the structure out and add realistic weathering.

Who it is for

  • Builders of the Scorpion and related CVR(T) vehicles in 1:35
  • Anyone interested in movable tracks with a faithful sag
  • More advanced modelers longing for detailed running gear

A supplementary set of tracks. The model of the vehicle, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
