Eduard 1:35 Sd.Kfz. 166 Brummbär is a comprehensive add-on set of photo-etched parts for a model of the German Sturmpanzer IV Brummbär assault gun in 1:35 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A comprehensive add-on set from the Czech maker Eduard in 1:35 scale. It is not a model of the vehicle but a collection of photo-etched parts in thin brass sheet that adds faithful detail to the exterior and to other areas. The photo-etched parts are thinner and crisper than plastic ones and markedly raise the level of detail.
The Sturmpanzer IV Brummbär (Sd.Kfz. 166) was a German heavy assault gun of the Second World War built on the chassis of the Panzer IV tank. It carried a short 150 mm howitzer in an armored superstructure and was intended to give fire support to infantry in built-up fighting.
Separate the photo-etched parts with a sharp knife, shape them with a bending tool or over a straight edge and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. Degrease the surfaces and apply a primer before painting. Finish the running gear before closing up the hull; for weathering, use washes and pigments with mud and dust effects.
This is an accessory, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
