A set of two turned metal barrels of the German 20 mm L/65 cannon with a transport box in 1:35 scale is a detail accessory from the manufacturer Aber for models with the Flak 38 weapon.
Responsibility details are not available.
The package holds two turned metal barrels of the German 20 mm anti-aircraft cannon with a length of 65 calibers together with a box to stow them in, all in 1:35 scale. This is not a kit but a detail accessory. The barrels can be used as a replacement for the plastic parts on a model of the Flak 38 weapon, but the set also aims at diorama use, because the crew carried spare barrels in a transport box as a standard part of their equipment. It is exactly such small things that give a scene credibility.
The Flak 38 was a German 20 mm automatic anti-aircraft cannon, the successor to the older Flak 30 type with a higher rate of fire. It was used on towed carriages, on vehicles and in fixed positions and it became one of the most widespread light anti-aircraft weapons. The barrel heated up quickly under intense fire and was changed in action itself, which is why the crew always carried spare pieces stowed in a protective box.
If you use the barrels as a replacement on the weapon, cut off the plastic part and redrill the seating to the diameter of the metal. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue. Before painting, degrease the surface and lay on a base coat for metals. For diorama use it pays to fade and wear the box more than the vehicle itself, because spare equipment tended to be scuffed, scratched and dusty.
This is a detail accessory, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
