Quickwheel 1:35 T-30 is a masking set for the road wheels of the T-30 light tank, cut for the Hobby Boss kit. It copes even with very small rims, where lining by hand fails.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a masking accessory, not a model. The set separates the rubber tire band from the rim on the wheels of the T-30 light tank in 1:35 scale, so the transition between the shades comes out sharp. The cut matches the wheels of the Hobby Boss kit — the shape of a wheel mask always belongs to a particular molding, so check the match beforehand.
The T-30 is a small vehicle from the family of Soviet light reconnaissance tanks and its running gear is in keeping: only four road wheels on each side, plus several even smaller return rollers. The wheels are so small that the rubber tire band forms only a thin ring around a small rim — the ratio between the width of the band and the diameter of the wheel is worse here than on medium and heavy tanks. At the same time the wheels of a light tank cannot be hidden: the hull is low, the fenders shallow and the running gear is visible practically in full. A small number of wheels therefore does not mean easy work, because every mistake is fully visible and there is nothing to lose it among.
A compass cutter is awkward to set at diameters this small, and the point often tears through the center of the cutout before you finish the circle. A brush, in turn, lays the paint down at this scale in a coat that visibly builds up on the thin ring of the tire band and smears the edge against the rim. A ready-made mask is more reliable in both respects, because the shape is made precisely and identically for every wheel. Paint the wheels separately, before you seat them in the hull.
This is an accessory for a model. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
