A photo-etched set of fenders for a model of the Type 59 tank in 1:35 scale, intended for the Takom 2081 kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Type 59 was a Chinese medium tank derived from the Soviet T-54 design and for decades it formed the backbone of armored units. The fenders are among its most prominent external features: they are long, they carry tools and tanks, and on the real machine they are of thin sheet that bent and crumpled in service. That is precisely what is hardest to imitate on a plastic kit, because a plastic part has to be much thicker for the sake of strength.
This is a photo-etched set of fenders in 1:35 scale for the Takom 2081 kit. Being placed in the photo-etched branch shows that the elements are made by etching, so they are thin and trace the shape of the real thing accurately. The extent of the parts and the recommended procedure are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Separate the parts from the photo-etched fret with a sharp blade on a firm surface, not with pliers, and sand the remaining tab back. Run the bends over a sharp edge or in a bender and always along the marked score line. The joints are held by cyanoacrylate glue. Before the build, reckon with the original plastic fenders usually being removed from the model; the exact extent of the work is given in the instructions. Degrease the parts before painting and go over them with a base coat, otherwise the paint will not hold on the smooth surface. Suggest damage to the fenders sparingly and only where it makes sense on the machine.
The set is for modelers who are building the Type 59 in 1:35 scale and want fenders that are thin to scale. The model, paints and glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
