The sheet from ETA diorama is printed paper intended for scenes in 1:35 scale. It holds no plastic parts and no decals. The motifs of posters and large-format billboards on a humanitarian aid theme are cut out and glued onto the surface of a structure, onto a wooden fence or onto a separate billboard structure that the modeler builds from profiles or skewers.
A poster on a wall has two roles in the finished display case: it completes the setting and at the same time leads the viewer's eye. So place a large billboard rather in the second plane, so that it does not press on the main model, while the smaller posters are placed irregularly over the walls, at various heights and sometimes over one another. Layers of glued posters, where a newer one is stuck over an older and the corners of the older peep out, are among the simplest and most effective tricks for getting depth and time into a scene.
Cut the motifs out with a sharp knife along a rule. On a wall of render, plaster or card, PVA glue applied with a brush in a thin layer suits best – the paper dampens slightly, adheres to the uneven surface and once dry follows the texture of the undercoat. On a large billboard it is a good idea to back the reverse with thin card and only then fit it into a frame. Make the fold around the corner of a house while the paper is still damp. Aging is essential on posters: tear the corners, sand the edges gently with abrasive paper, mute the surface with a very thin wash or pastel and unify the finished work with matte clear coat, so that the paper does not reflect light differently from the surrounding wall.
