A self-adhesive sheet with the texture of floor tiles in 1:35 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A tiled floor gives a diorama interior a readable dimension: from the size of the tiles the viewer judges at once how big the room is and how high the figure stands. Hand-scribed tiling costs hours of work, and a single slip of the scriber shows on a finished scene for good. A ready-made texture solves this part of the job in a few minutes.
The name states a self-adhesive version, so the sheet is not soaked and no softener is needed for it. Immersion in water would damage it, and with a self-adhesive film such damage cannot be undone. The size of the sheet, the form of the pattern and the number of sheets can be found in the manufacturer's instructions.
First trace the shape of the floor onto paper and transfer the template to the sheet, and only then cut; run the edges so that they end under a wall or under furniture. The surface has to be flat, dry and free of grease, otherwise the film will lift at the corners in time. Press the applied area down from the center out. Apply dirt only after spraying matte clear, and in layers; a darker wash in the joints will bring the pattern out, while rough scrubbing would wipe it away.
A self-adhesive sheet is supplied. A diorama base, a model, paints and glue are not usually part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
