A figure set in 1:35 scale listed under the name Unknown Leader. An accessory for dioramas and for vehicle models where the scene calls for a commanding figure.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set carries the name Unknown Leader and is listed in 1:35 scale, the most common scale in military modeling. Who the figures represent is not specified any further by the name, so it is worth looking at the manufacturer's illustration before you buy. Sets with a commanding figure are among the popular accessories, because a single figure in a pose different from the rest of the crew gives a scene direction and the viewer sees at once where something is happening.
These are figures to be assembled and painted. The number of figures, their poses and the extent of the package are given in the instructions and the illustration; they also tell you whether the poses suit the scene you are building. The figures are supplied on their own, so you can add them to a model you have already finished.
Assemble the figure dry first and check how it stands and where it is looking; only then glue it for good. Fill and sand the gaps at the shoulders, the waist and under the chin, as you will not cover them once the figure is painted. Wash and degrease the surface before painting. Paint the uniform from the base shade toward highlighted edges, and the face the other way round, from the darkest tone to the lightest; leave the eyes until last and put them in with two strokes of a fine brush.
It suits builders of dioramas and collectors of 1:35 figures who are looking for a more prominent character for a scene. It also works where a diorama has a clear focal point but lacks the figure that the others relate to. The vehicle model, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
