Archer 1:35 infantry division patches (69th, 71st, 95th, 98th and 106th) is a sheet of dry transfers for the uniforms of figures. They are applied dry by burnishing, not by soaking in water.
Responsibility details are not available.
A sheet of dry transfers in 1:35 scale with shoulder patches of US Army infantry divisions. According to the name it covers the 69th, 71st, 95th, 98th and 106th Divisions. The set is intended for marking figures; it is not a model, a kit or a package of figures.
The most important thing to know before first use: the sheet must on no account be soaked in water. Cut the motif out together with its carrier film, lay it face down on the sleeve of the figure, hold it with tweezers and burnish gently with a rounded point, a toothpick, a bone burnisher or a pencil without lead. The motif passes from the film straight into the finish. Lift the carrier film slowly and at an angle, so that you can put it back and burnish an unfinished spot again.
A shoulder patch is barely visible in 1:35 scale, and with a waterslide decal it is above all the carrier film that is distracting: on the matte, uneven cloth of a uniform it leaves a glossy island that shows through even after matting. A dry transfer leaves no film behind, so the marking comes across as painted with a brush. The surface should be smooth, well dried and degreased; on a coarsely grained surface only part of the motif transfers. The sleeve is rounded, so lead the pressure from the center out to the edges and work in small steps. A magnifier and good light come in useful. Seal the finished marking with a light coat of matte varnish and only then go on with the weathering.
The set contains the markings only, not figures or a model. The exact breakdown of the patches is stated on the box.
