This resin set from DEF Model brings an American concrete Jersey barrier in the small, narrow version (Small type), in 1:35 scale. It is not a model of a vehicle but a scenic accessory for dioramas; the smaller barrier suits urban scenes, sidewalk barriers, checkpoints and military closures.
A Jersey barrier is a concrete barrier of modular shape with a sloping foot that channels and stops vehicles and protects people and structures. The small type has a slighter profile and is used for temporary and portable closures, where a lighter barrier that is easier to move will do.
Wash the resin parts free of mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and clean them up. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Concrete comes out well once primed in gray, with the edges lightened and stains, cracks and dirt added with washes and pigments; small scuffs and traces of overspray bring the scene to life and make it credible.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and other materials are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
