A resin figure of a US Navy river patrol boat crewman from Vietnam, no. 3, in 1:35 scale from MAiM.
Responsibility details are not available.
A collector resin figure of an American sailor in 1:35 scale made by MAiM. It captures a crewman of a US Navy river patrol boat from the Vietnam War period in the uniform and gear of the day. This is the third pose in a series meant to crew a patrol boat. The figure is meant to be assembled, painted and used in dioramas. The exact number of parts is not stated here.
During the Vietnam War the US Navy committed river patrol boats to patrolling the deltas and rivers of Southeast Asia. The crews wore a light field uniform and personal weapons adapted to work on deck. The figure serves as a factual addition in historical modeling terms, suited to scenes with a patrol boat.
First wash the mold release residue off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate); wear respiratory protection while sanding resin. Apply a primer before painting and build the uniform and the gear up in thin layers. The face and the fabric come out well after shading, a wash in the folds and a light dry brush.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
