A resin detail set of four British Vickers .50 Mk.III heavy machine guns in 1:35 scale from the Greek manufacturer GasPatch models. This is not a kit of a vehicle but a set of sharply cast resin weapons with which you complete models of vehicles, vessels or anti-aircraft positions. The higher number of pieces in the package matches the typical use of these machine guns in multi-gun mounts.
The Vickers .50 (.50 caliber, that is 12.7 mm) was a British heavy machine gun derived from the proven .303 caliber Vickers. The Mk.III version was intended above all for naval and anti-aircraft use and was fitted in quadruple mounts on warships and smaller vessels; it also served for ground defense. Barrel cooling was provided by a water-filled cooling jacket.
Wash the parts free of mold release agent, cut the casting gates off and bond them with super glue. Bring out the metal and painted surfaces with a wash; on the cooling jackets and the mounts fine dry-brushing is worth the effort. Wear respiratory protection while sanding.
The detail set does not hold a vehicle model, a mount beyond the contents of the package, glue or paints. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
