1:35 Pz.Kpfw. IV Ausf. J is a Voyager Model photo-etched add-on set, not a tank model: the brass parts refine the Tamiya 35181 plastic kit you already own.
Responsibility details are not available.
An aftermarket set of photo-etched brass parts in 1:35 scale from the Chinese manufacturer Voyager Model for the late version of the German Pz.Kpfw. IV medium tank. The set holds nothing but accessory parts for the build and no plastic model: the basic Tamiya 35181 kit has to be obtained separately.
The Ausf. J was the last production version of the Panzer IV. Compared with the earlier configurations, production was being simplified: the auxiliary engine for traversing the turret was deleted, so that it was then turned by hand, and the fuel system and the running gear were revised. In late production the side armor skirts of sheet were replaced by a mesh type, which was lighter and faster to make. For the modeler that means a great deal of thin sheet and mesh on the outside of the vehicle.
Degrease the photo-etched parts before any work, because they tend to come from the factory with a thin film and fingerprints cling stubbornly to brass. A short bath in alcohol and drying without touching them with a bare hand is enough; from then on work in disposable gloves or with tweezers. Then comes a primer for metal in a genuinely thin coat; a heavy pass fills the fine engraving and visually thickens the mesh. Only then does the paint follow, again in light coats. It pays to paint assembled groups separately from the plastic while they are still accessible from all sides.
This is an add-on set, not a model. The plastic kit, glue, paints and tools are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
