The Voyager Model 1:35 photo-etched detail set for the American 2.5-ton 6x6 cargo truck is an accessory for a plastic kit you already own, not a model in itself. It is cut for the Tamiya 35218 kit and adds to it features that cannot be made from plastic.

The package holds photo-etched brass parts meant to improve one particular plastic kit, which is not included and which you have to own separately. The set is not universal: the outlines of the parts follow the shapes of the kit it was designed for. Voyager Model is a Chinese manufacturer focused on photo-etched accessories for military subjects in 1:35 scale.
The American cargo truck of two and a half tons capacity with all three axles driven was among the most widespread means of transport of the Allied armies during the Second World War. It was built in large numbers and in many cargo bed configurations, with and without a tarpaulin. For the modeler it is interesting above all because it is full of open structures, gratings, brackets and rims, that is exactly the shapes that come out of plastic needlessly bulky.
On a cargo truck most of the photo-etched parts are long sheet pieces and frames that have to be bent precisely and in one plane. Without a photo-etch bender it can be managed with two steel razor blades or the edge of a glass plate, but the result then tends to be rippled. Make the bend in one smooth movement, not by breaking it down bit by bit. Bend longer parts from the middle toward the ends, so that the sheet does not twist. Brass is malleable, but bending and straightening it repeatedly weakens it at the groove and the part will crack.
Cut the parts out with a scalpel on glass rather than with nippers. For gluing use thin cyanoacrylate in a minimal amount, applied with the tip of a pin. Before painting, degrease the photo-etched parts and cover them with a thin primer. Cargo vehicles will take pronounced weathering, dust and mud effects, but on a metal surface lay the paint on thinly, otherwise the fine structures will be lost.
The set is an accessory for a plastic kit, which it does not include. The glue, paints and tools are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
