1:35 Zombie - Missing People

Zombie - Missing People 1:35 — a printed accessory for a diorama

A paper sheet in 1:35 scale from ETA diorama, thematically aimed at missing person notices for horror and post-apocalyptic scenes. It is not a kit or a decal lifted off in water — the motifs are cut out and glued onto surfaces in a diorama. The motif is intended for collectors who build genre scenes, and what matters for the build is its use as a flat prop.

Use in a scene

The notices belong where somebody would really have put them up: on poles, a fence, a door, boarded-up windows, an information board at the entrance of a building. The effect grows with quantity and disorder — folded sheets, tilted papers and partly torn corners look more convincing than a straight grid of posters. The same sheet can also be used to fill a wall in the second plane, where the detail is lost anyway.

Weathering and aging the paper

• You age the paper with a light brown or gray wash that brings out the texture.
• The edges can be torn with a fingernail; torn paper looks better than a straight cut.
• Suggest damp with stains of thinned brown paint and a light rippling of the glued sheet.
• Glue with PVA glue, only at the corners, so that the sheet stands slightly off as in reality.
• Finally matte clear coat, so that the paper does not reflect light differently from the surrounding scene.

Who the sheet is for

For builders of genre dioramas in 1:35 scale and for collectors of figures who need flat props for a scene. It is used as an accessory to finished models and structures, and does not take the place of a model on its own.

It is a printed paper accessory for a diorama, not a kit and not a waterslide decal. Glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
