The Fairey IIIF 1:350 plastic set from Trumpeter holds small British shipboard reconnaissance floatplanes intended for populating ship models in 1:350 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a multi-piece plastic set of miniature Fairey IIIF aircraft in 1:350 scale from Trumpeter. It is not a stand-alone large model but an accessory set of small parts with which you populate the catapults and decks of battleship and cruiser models in the same scale. The parts are injection-molded in clear plastic and decals tend to be included. Paints and glue are not included in the package.
The Fairey IIIF was a British multirole biplane of the interwar period, used by the Royal Navy and the RAF as a reconnaissance and observation machine. In the floatplane version it served as a catapult aircraft on large warships for correcting artillery fire and for reconnaissance. It was among the most widespread British aircraft of its day.
Because of the small dimensions, work with a sharp knife and tweezers and clean the flash off the parts carefully. Liquid cement for plastic applied in small drops is suitable. For painting, an airbrush and a fine brush for the details prove their worth; thin coats of paint preserve the fine relief. The clear parts can be used for the glazing or painted over.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
