Responsibility details are not available.
A set of turned metal barrels for the model of the Japanese heavy cruiser IJN Takao in her 1942 fit, 1:350 scale, made by MASTER. It holds 10 barrels of the main 203 mm caliber (20 cm) and 8 barrels of the dual-purpose 127 mm caliber (12.7 cm), including the detail of the recoil cylinders. Turned metal renders the muzzles and the proportions of the barrels more faithfully than injection-molded plastic.
IJN Takao was the lead ship of the class of Japanese heavy cruisers that bore her name. These were large and heavily armed ships that took part in many operations in the Pacific. The 1942 fit matches the period of their heaviest combat use.
Separate the barrels from the gate, adjust the seating pin and glue them in with cyanoacrylate glue. The detail of the recoil cylinders on the 203 mm barrels brings out a realistic look for the guns. Apply a primer to the metal before painting.
The set serves as a turned replacement for parts of the base kit; on its own it is not a ship model. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
