The package contains twenty very finely turned metal barrels of 13 mm Type 93 caliber. The metal barrels replace the minute plastic parts of the heavy anti-aircraft machine guns and give a model a sharp, faithful look. It is a detail accessory, not a kit of a whole ship.
The heavy anti-aircraft machine gun of 13 mm caliber, the Type 93, served the Imperial Japanese Navy as a light weapon of the close defense. It was mounted in single and in multiple mounts and rounded out the armament of ships against low-flying aircraft, above all in the early phases of the war.
Separate and clean up the minute barrels with the utmost care, then degrease the metal before painting and go over it with a primer. Given the very small size of the parts we recommend an airbrush.
The set is an accessory, not a model of a ship. It is supplied unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
