A set of 20 turned metal barrels for the QF 2-pdr 40 mm Mk.VIII pom-pom anti-aircraft gun for Royal Navy ships in 1:350 scale. A detail accessory, not a model of a ship.
Responsibility details are not available.
The package contains twenty finely turned metal barrels of 40 mm caliber for the well-known QF 2-pdr Mk.VIII anti-aircraft gun nicknamed the pom-pom. The metal barrels replace the tiny plastic parts of the multiple mounts and give a model a sharp and faithful look. It is a detail accessory, not a kit of a whole ship.
The QF 2-pdr Mk.VIII gun, nicknamed the pom-pom, was the standard multiple-barrel anti-aircraft system of the close defense of the Royal Navy. The eight-barrel mounts put out a dense volume of fire against low-flying aircraft and were fitted to a broad range of British vessels from destroyers to battleships.
Separate and clean up the tiny barrels carefully, then degrease the metal before painting and go over it with a primer. Given the small size of the parts we recommend an airbrush and fine shades of naval gray.
The set is an accessory, not a model of a ship. It is supplied unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
