The package contains eight accurately turned metal barrels of 406 mm caliber, which replace the plastic parts of the main artillery. The metal barrels have a sharp muzzle, an accurate profile and do not bow. It is a detail accessory, not a kit of a whole ship.
The battleships Mutsu and Nagato were among the most powerful units of the Imperial Japanese Navy. They carried the 406 mm caliber in four twin turrets, that is eight heavy guns, which made them feared opponents. This caliber was among the largest the Imperial Japanese Navy ever put to sea.
Separate the barrels from the stub and clean them up, then degrease the metal before painting and go over it with a primer. We recommend an airbrush and shades of Japanese naval gray, and bring the muzzle out with a dark wash.
The set is an accessory, not a model of a ship. It is supplied unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
