An injection-molded plastic kit of the Dutch trainer Fokker S11 Instructor in 1:40 scale from the Czech manufacturer Smer. It is a classic kit with injection-molded plastic, clear parts and a decal sheet.
The Fokker S11 Instructor was a single-engine basic trainer with fixed landing gear which came about shortly after the Second World War. It served to train pilots with the Dutch Air Force and with other users, and it was also built under license. The instructor and the pupil sitting side by side and the simple, rugged structure made it a popular school machine.
Thanks to the larger size of the parts, the kit in 1:40 scale is friendly even to less experienced modelers. Glue with liquid cement for plastic and fill and sand the joints if needed. Apply a primer before painting; for period training schemes, striking yellow or silver areas suit the markings you choose.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
