Injection-molded plastic kit of a light Pauk II class anti-submarine corvette of the Indian Navy in 1:400 scale. The box contains parts for the full hull, the superstructures and the armament, a small stand for display and decal sheets. Once assembled and painted, the model makes a striking piece for a collection of modern surface craft.
The Pauk II class corvettes are small, fast patrol and anti-submarine ships of Soviet design origin, which in upgraded form served with the Indian Navy as well. They are built to protect coastal waters, to patrol and to fight submarines, armed with gun as well as anti-submarine armament and depth-charge equipment. Their small size and high mobility make them a typical representative of modern escort vessels.
The hull can be built complete, or sanded down to the waterline for setting into a diorama with a water surface. Glue the small parts of the superstructures and the armament with liquid cement for plastic. For the fine railings and antennas it pays to reach for separate photo-etched accessories. We recommend a primer base and an airbrush for even gray shades of naval camouflage, the detail picked out with a wash and gentle weathering.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
