Injection-molded plastic kit of the small anti-submarine ship MPK-254 in 1:400 scale from the Polish maker Mirage Hobby. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted, and decals are part of the box. The real subject is a Pauk class unit derived from the Project 1241 family.
The abbreviation MPK denotes a Soviet small anti-submarine ship. MPK-254 belongs to Project 1241.2, known in the West as the Pauk class. These ships were built to hunt and fight submarines in coastal waters and carried anti-submarine as well as anti-aircraft armament. They served with the Soviet and later the Russian Navy.
Cut the small parts of the armament and the superstructures off carefully with a sharp knife and clean them up with a file. The hull can be built complete or set as a waterline model on a small stand. We recommend naval gray with an airbrush, a dark wash in the detail of the decks and superstructures and a matte coat at the end.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
