Mirage Hobby 1:400 ORP Grom wz.40 is a plastic kit of the Polish destroyer in her 1940 configuration, in the small collector's scale of 1:400.
Responsibility details are not available.
This plastic kit captures the Polish destroyer ORP Grom as she looked in 1940. The 1:400 model is meant to be glued and painted; the package normally holds injection-molded plastic, decals, assembly instructions with a painting diagram and a stand for displaying the finished ship.
Grom was the lead ship of the class of fast destroyers of the same name in the Polish Navy. These were heavily armed vessels with both gun and torpedo armament and a high speed. At the start of the Second World War Grom sailed for Great Britain and joined the Allied operations off the Norwegian coast. During the fighting at Narvik she was sunk by a Luftwaffe air attack in the spring of 1940.
Separate the small parts carefully from the sprue gates and clean them up. We recommend spraying the hull and the decks with an airbrush, and finishing the fine details and the rigging with a brush. The look of the ship is markedly lifted by supplementary photo-etched parts (railings, radars, ladders), which are not included in the package. Set the model on the stand supplied and display it in the matching waterline attitude.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
