What you get

A model of the Skoda Felicia in 1:43 scale in the 1.3 GLXi version. It is a finished piece: it does not need assembling, gluing or painting, and once unpacked it can go straight onto the shelf. The year 1994 in the name belongs to the real car, not to the model. In 1:43 scale the length of the car comes out at about nine centimeters, so the model fits even into a smaller display case and goes well with a whole series of other Czech cars in the same scale.

The real subject

The Felicia followed the Favorit in 1994 and was the first car of the Mlada Boleslav brand created under its new owner. The range opened with a five-door body with a large tailgate, and further variants came later. The designation in the name refers to a 1.3-liter gasoline engine and to the better-equipped trim level with fuel injection. The Felicia sold in enormous numbers at home and is one of the cars that almost everyone still remembers, so it has a permanent place among collectors of Czech models.

Display tips

Keep the model out of direct sunlight, so that the color and the printing do not fade. When handling it, take it from below by the chassis, not by the mirrors, the wipers or the aerial, which are the parts that break off most easily. Sweep the dust off with a soft brush; a cloth tends to catch on the small edges. If you are building a scene, the Felicia sits well in a 1990s setting, among other Czech cars.
