1:48/1:35 24x Resin Jerry Cans

24x Resin Jerry Cans - resin cans for vehicles and dioramas

According to the name, this set from Green Stuff World contains 24 resin castings of transport cans. It is not a kit and not a vehicle model - it is an accessory with which a cargo area, fenders, brackets and racks on a vehicle model are fitted out, or with which the corner of a diorama, a store, a workshop or a fuel point is filled. Cans are among the most widely used small props of all, because they instantly give both a vehicle and a scene scale and life. The name gives use for both 1:35 and 1:48, and the shape of the castings is shown by the illustration on the packaging.

Preparing the castings

Separate the castings from the casting blocks by cutting, not by breaking - resin is hard and cracks unpredictably. Level the remaining stubs with a file or abrasive paper. Before painting, wash the pieces in lukewarm soapy water to remove the mold release agent; without that the paint holds badly. They are bonded exclusively with super glue (cyanoacrylate). After degreasing apply a primer, then the base shade and finally the weathering - cans are a rewarding object for chipped edges, rust, oily traces and lettering, because in reality they take a beating.

Where the set comes into its own

On trucks and combat vehicles, on trailers and transport crates, in workshop and supply scenes, at fuel points and as a small detail on bases. In larger numbers they stack well into heaps and crates, where there is no need to work every piece up separately.

Who the set is for

For vehicle modelers and diorama builders who need several pieces of the same accessory at once. Working with resin assumes a sharp knife and super glue.

The castings are supplied unpainted. Paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise. Sand resin with respiratory protection.
