A set of photo-etched parts from the Czech manufacturer Eduard, meant for refining the exterior of the model of the American carrier-based aircraft Douglas A3D-2 Skywarrior in 1:48 scale. The photo-etched metal parts replace and fill out elements that are hard to form in injection-molded plastic, for example thin panels, hatches, grilles and the faces of the airbrakes. It is not a model of an airplane but a detail accessory; the basic kit has to be bought separately.
The Douglas A3D Skywarrior, later designated the A-3, was a large twin-engine carrier-based bomber of the US Navy from the 1950s, operated from aircraft carriers. It was one of the heaviest machines ever to work from a deck, and later it served in versions for electronic warfare and in-flight refueling as well.
Separate the parts from the fret with a sharp knife and clean up the cut faces. Use a bending tool or a straight edge for the bends. Glue the photo-etched parts with super glue (cyanoacrylate) and degrease the surfaces before the clear coat.
This is a detail accessory, not a model. The kit itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
