A clear canopy for a model of the Mitsubishi A6M Zero in 1:48 scale, in a version for both an open and a closed cockpit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Mitsubishi A6M Zero was a Japanese carrier fighter of the Second World War, famous for its agility and its exceptional range. Its long, extensively glazed canopy is typical of the aircraft's silhouette and shows up a great deal on a model, so it is worth taking care over.
A replacement clear canopy for a model of the A6M in 1:48 scale. The note about the open and closed cockpit in the name refers to both positions, so you can choose whether to close the cockpit up or open it and expose the interior. How the part handles both options and how it is divided is described in the manufacturer's instructions.
Cut the surplus material away with a sharp blade a little away from the part and then level the edge by sanding in small steps, testing the fit on the model as you go; you can always take more off, but never put it back. Glue clear parts with a glue intended for glazing, which leaves no milky haze. Cyanoacrylate will fog the material and the white marks will not come out. Mask the frames with tape or with masks before spraying, not after the paint has dried. Remove fingerprints and dust from the inside before you seat the part on the model, because afterwards you will not get in there.
It suits modelers who want to open the cockpit on a Zero model, replace the thick glazing from the kit or save a damaged part. The kit, the paints and the glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
