This is not an aircraft kit but a resin set of underwing armament in 1:48 scale. The package contains two long-range guided air-to-ground missiles as carried by the types named in the title. The body of the missile is long and smooth, so a parting seam tends to show on injection-molded plastic; a resin casting has none and holds the shape of thin surfaces better.
The AGM-142 is a guided air-to-ground missile intended for attacking targets from a safe distance, outside the reach of close air defenses. It is based on a design developed in Israel and was introduced with further users as well; the guidance system works with an imaging sensor and a data link, so the operator watches the final phase of the flight and can correct the point of impact. Its carriers were the combat aircraft named in the title, on which the missile was hung on underwing or fuselage racks.
Wash the castings in lukewarm soapy water because of the mold release agent. Cut the casting block off with a saw and level the surface wet and with respiratory protection. It is a good idea to reinforce the long body with a wire pin when gluing, so that the joint survives handling of the model. Apply primer under the paint, so that you can see whether the surface is perfectly smooth. The optical nose and the lettering are conspicuous on this missile, so it pays to mask them and do them cleanly; at the end a fine wash and a minimum of wear are enough.
The set contains resin accessory parts only. The kit, paints, glue and decals are not included in the package.
