Eduard 1:48 Beaufighter TF.X landing flaps is a photo-etched set of landing flaps for a model of the British Beaufighter TF.X. It is an accessory to a plastic kit, not a model of the aircraft.

A photo-etched set from the Czech maker Eduard for a plastic model of the British Bristol Beaufighter TF.X heavy fighter and anti-shipping aircraft in 1:48 scale. It replaces the plastic landing flaps with a fine metal rendering, thanks to which the flaps can be shown lowered and their ribbed internal structure revealed. It is not a model of the aircraft but an accessory intended for completing a kit.
The Beaufighter TF.X was the torpedo and anti-shipping derivative of the twin-engined Beaufighter, powered by Bristol Hercules radial engines. It served above all with the strike wings of RAF Coastal Command, where it attacked German shipping off the Norwegian and Dutch coasts. The combination of 20 mm cannon armament in the nose, unguided rockets under the wings and the ability to carry a torpedo made it one of the most effective anti-shipping aircraft of the war. The sturdy structure and the large wing area show on the model precisely in the sizeable flaps under the trailing edge.
Put the flaps together dry first and check how the individual segments fit each other. Make the bends in a photo-etch bender and leave the fine cutouts supported so that the sheet does not twist. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue; when fitting them into the wing it pays to hold the part with masking tape until the glue has set. Degrease the metal before painting and prime it with a primer for metal. The inside of the flap bays and the back of the flaps are usually a different color from the external camouflage, so prepare those shades separately and bring out the transitions with a fine wash.
It is not a kit of the aircraft but an accessory set. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
