1:48 Bf 109 G-10 MTT, part 1 is an Omask masking set for models of the Messerschmitt Bf 109 G-10 fighter in the form produced at Regensburg, in 1:48 scale.

Masking sets are supplied as pre-cut self-adhesive templates that are stuck onto the model and cover the areas that are to stay free of paint. It is neither a kit nor a sheet of decals. They are most often used on the glazing and the frames of the canopy, where masking by hand with tape takes a great deal of time and the edge still does not come out as clean. The designation part 1 means that this is the first part of a divided set.
The Bf 109 G-10 was a late version of the Messerschmitt Bf 109 fighter with a more powerful engine whose installation called for new cowling panels on the upper side of the nose. Aircraft of this version were built in several factories, and the individual productions differed from one another in details of the airframe, the shape of the panels and the trailing edges. The abbreviation MTT refers to the form from the Messerschmitt production at Regensburg, which is recognized precisely by those manufacturing differences. For a modeler that is an essential difference, because a mask has to fit the particular shape of the canopy and the nose.
The model has to be clean and degreased, otherwise the mask will not hold and paint will creep under it. Peel the pieces off with tweezers or the tip of a scalpel, lay them in place and press them down with a cotton swab all the way around. Apply the paint in several thin coats so that no ridge forms on the edge. Spray the shade of the inside of the frames first, and only then the outer camouflage. Take the mask off shortly after drying; after a longer time the adhesive cures and there is a risk of pulling the finish off.
The package contains only the masks. The model, paints and glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
