A set for the Bf 109G-6 in 1:48 scale. The glazing is covered on both sides, one insignia mask is enclosed, two metal muzzles for the heavy machine guns and the tube of the sensor.
Responsibility details are not available.
The G-6 sub-version was produced in greater numbers than any other Messerschmitt and became the notional basic form of the whole family. Characteristic of it are the elongated fairings on the upper cowling, which the units called bulges. They hid the breeches of the machine guns of 13 mm caliber, which replaced the older lighter weapons and would otherwise not have fitted into the narrow cowling. Machines of this sub-version flew on every front from the Caucasus to Tunisia.
The package combines films and metal. The glass is covered on both sides, one part serves for spraying the marking and the metal portion brings two muzzles from under the bulges together with the tube of the sensor on the wing.
Because the muzzles of the machine guns project on the upper surface of the cowling directly into the line of sight, this is one of the types where the difference is noticeable even without a magnifier. Care is needed when choosing, though: there are two sets for the G-6 with the same name and they differ in the number of masks, so it pays to read the list of contents rather than to compare the items by their number. The other one offers two masks, that is one more than this one. The metal equipment is described identically in both; the difference lies solely in the films.
