The Boeing F/A-18E Super Hornet is a single-seat carrier-based multirole aircraft that starts from the smaller F/A-18 Hornet but is larger overall and has both a new wing and rectangular air intakes. It is powered by two turbofan engines. The machine fills both fighter and attack duties and it serves from the decks of aircraft carriers, which is matched by its strengthened landing gear, its tailhook and its folding wingtips. Under the wing and the fuselage it carries bombs, rockets and drop tanks, so it tends to be built in the most varied configurations of armament.
Pre-cut masks for spraying a model in 1:48 scale. The extent of the items and the kit the masks fit are given in the manufacturer's instructions in the package. The framing of the glazing of the Super Hornet is full of detail, so the masks save work exactly where cutting tape by hand would take longest.
The masks are stuck on before spraying, onto a clean, degreased and dry surface. Press the items down around the whole perimeter, in the corners above all, so that no paint runs under the edge. Apply thin coats and direct the nozzle from the edge of the mask inward. Remove the mask as soon as the paint has set, not once it has cured completely, when there is a risk that it will take the finish with it. Pull the film back at an angle toward yourself and help yourself with tweezers, so that the clear parts are not scratched.
The set is for modelers who want sharp transitions and a clean cockpit without paint running under the edge of a mask. The model, the paints and the glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
