Decals in 1:48 scale for the twin-engine Bristol Beaufighter Mk. 21, focused on machines in service with the Royal Australian Air Force.
Responsibility details are not available.
A decal sheet in 1:48 scale for a model of the Bristol Beaufighter Mk. 21. The theme is machines of this version in service with the Royal Australian Air Force, that is markings an ordinary kit mostly does not offer and which turn the model into a piece with a story of its own.
The Beaufighter was a British twin-engine heavy fighter and attack aircraft with radial engines and heavy armament concentrated in the nose. It was created as a rugged machine for night fighting and for strikes against ground and naval targets, and it became known for toughness rather than elegance. The Mk. 21 version was built in Australia and served in the Pacific area, where it proved itself above all in low-level attacks on shipping.
The usual method is the wet one: cut the item out close to the printing, dip it in lukewarm water for a moment and let it stand until it starts to slide freely off the backing. Then slide it onto the moistened spot on the model, straighten it with a soft brush and blot off the excess water. A smooth gloss clear coat under the decal limits silvering, and on a broken surface a decal softener helps. Before you soak the sheet, check in the instructions whether it is not a self-adhesive version; a soaked self-adhesive film is ruined for good.
For modelers who build Second World War aircraft in 1:48 scale and are interested in the war in the Pacific. The specific machines and the placement of the items are described in the instructions in the package.
The package holds decals. The kit, paints, varnish and decal softener are not included, unless stated otherwise.
