The set holds two resin models of the American Browning .50 caliber (12.7 mm) aircraft machine gun in the flexible form, as it was fitted in defensive gun positions. This is not an airplane kit but a detail accessory with which you replace the coarser plastic parts and raise the fidelity of a finished model in 1:48 scale.
The Browning .50 caliber was among the most widespread onboard weapons of the US Army Air Forces in the Second World War. In the flexible form it served as a defensive weapon worked by a gunner on bombers and other multi-seat aircraft. The parts are made from an accurate design, which gives them a finely rendered cooling jacket and mechanism.
First wash the resin parts free of mold release agent residue, separate the casting blocks carefully and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Wear respiratory protection while sanding. A base of primer works well, then metal shades and fine highlighting of the wear.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
