Responsibility details are not available.
This set from SX-Art contains self-adhesive stencils for spraying a camouflage pattern onto a model of the Yak-130 trainer and light combat aircraft, also written Jak-130, in 1:48 scale. It is not a kit and not decals. The stencils are stuck to the base shade, a second color is oversprayed and once they are taken off the pattern remains with sharp, precisely shaped edges.
Camouflage with a sharp transition is hard to do by hand. Cutting it out of masking tape from a picture is tedious, the result often differs between the two halves of an aircraft and a mistake can only be put right by respraying the whole surface. A stencil cut beforehand guarantees that the pattern will be symmetrical on the left and the right side and will match the shape of the subject. Compared with a decal, the paint also lies directly on the surface, so no glossy outline remains on a matte finish and silvering is no risk.
First spray the base shade and let it cure fully. Reduce the tack of a stencil by laying it briefly on clean cloth, so that it does not tear the base away. Stick the masks down, press the edges carefully and cover the uncovered surroundings with tape or film. Spray the second color thinned, in several thin coats at a low pressure and at a right angle to the surface. Take the stencils off shortly after the paint has set, with tweezers at a sharp angle. Reckon with single use.
The package contains the masking stencils alone. A model, paints and thinners are not part of it.
