Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the elegant French four-seat touring monoplane Caudron Simoun in 1:48 scale. The tooling allows the C.631 and C.633 variants to be built and is complemented by photo-etched sheet and decals for civil aircraft. It is a short-run kit with fine detail that rewards a careful approach.
The Simoun was a fast and aerodynamically clean touring aircraft of the mid-1930s. It made its name on long-distance and record flights, served as a mail and liaison aircraft, and the individual versions differed above all in the engine and in small changes. It is one of the icons of interwar French aviation.
Short-run tooling calls for cleaning the parts up and dry-fitting before gluing; use liquid cement for plastic and attach the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue. Mask the cockpit glazing, prime the model and finish the smooth painted surfaces with an airbrush. Apply a gloss coat under the decals so that they settle cleanly.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
