It is neither a kit nor replacement parts but a sheet of pre-cut masks that are stuck onto finished parts before spraying. Once peeled off, a cleanly and sharply bounded shape is left under the mask, the kind that is hard and slow to achieve by taping over by hand.
The Dragonfly is derived from a trainer with side-by-side seats, so for its size it has an unusually roomy cockpit canopy with slim framing that is on show from every angle. Besides the glazing, this subject has two further places where a sharp edge decides the result: the discs and tires of the nose and main landing gear, where the rubber should end exactly at the rim of the disc, and the flat anti-glare panel ahead of the windshield, whose border runs across the rounded nose. The exact extent of the sheet is not stated here, so check before you buy which of these items the set covers.
Degrease the areas first and let them dry perfectly. Lift the mask off its backing with sharp tweezers or the tip of a scalpel, lay it down dry and press it with a soft tool so that the edge seats along its whole length. On a convex canopy it helps to warm the mask slightly and draw it into shape. Spray the paint in several light coats at a right angle to the edge of the mask, never at an angle under it. Take the mask off while the coat is still fresh, otherwise the edge of the varnish may come away with it.
