These are standalone decals for completing a model that you obtain separately. The same sheet also exists in 1:72 scale, so when ordering make sure which scale you need.
The Curtiss P-40 is an American single-engine fighter with an Allison V engine and a characteristic large radiator under the nose. The British designation Tomahawk was used for the early production versions; those differed from the later machines in their armament, equipment and details of the cockpit and the radiator. Aircraft of this series were used above all in North Africa and the Middle East, where they proved themselves at low altitude and in ground attack; they also reached other users. The finishes of the machines of this era are among the most visually interesting, combining desert camouflage, prominent recognition bands and personal markings.
Varnish the base under the decal with gloss so that the film does not silver. Cut the decal out closely, soak it in lukewarm water for a few seconds and let it rest for a moment until the backing releases. Move it onto the model together with the paper, seat it and blot the surplus water away. Use a decal softener over engraving and rivets and let the decal work; do not press on it right away. Once dry, rinse the remains of the adhesive off with water and varnish the whole model with matte or semi-matte varnish so that the edges of the film disappear. With desert camouflage it pays to even the decals out slightly with a filter, so that they do not look too clean against a weathered finish.
The package contains the decals. The kit, paints and varnish are not part of it, unless stated otherwise.
