1:48 Douglas B-26C Invader TFace is the double-sided Eduard masking set for 1:48 scale. It contains templates for both the outer and the inner side of the glazing; it is neither a kit, an etch nor decals.

The TFace label in the name distinguishes this set from the basic single-sided mask of the same manufacturer and the same subject. While an ordinary masking set covers only the outer side of the glazing, TFace adds a second set of templates cut for the inner side. Both are masking material, not parts for the model. That is what sets the masking line apart from full etches, pre-painted Zooms, the Brassin resin line and decals, all of which stay on a finished model.
You look through the glass of a cockpit frame both in and out. If you paint only the outside, bare translucent plastic remains when you look into the cockpit and the illusion collapses. With the inner set you spray the frame with the interior shade from inside and with the exterior finish from outside, so the boundary between the colors lies exactly on the edge of the frame. On the Invader, which has a glazed pilot's cockpit and a rear position, the difference is clearly visible on the finished model.
Start with the inside. Stick the inner templates onto the clear part while it is still free, spray the interior color and only then glue the part into the fuselage. Once it is in, you can no longer reach the inner side. Before that, wash the clear part in lukewarm soapy water, let it dry and do not touch it with your fingers. Set the outer templates with tweezers while dry, press the edges down and apply the paint in thin coats. Remove them only once dry, with a slow pull at an angle to the side. Fingerprints on the glass come to light only under a clear coat, so it pays to work in gloves.
This is an accessory to a model, not a kit. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
