A Big Ed pack for a Douglas SBD-1 Dauntless model in 1:48 scale, in which the manufacturer brings several of its accessory sets for one kit together.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Douglas SBD Dauntless was a carrier dive bomber of the US Navy and one of the most successful machines of the war in the Pacific. The SBD-1 was the first production version, delivered from 1940 above all to Marine Corps units. You can recognize the type by the perforated dive brakes on the trailing edge of the wing, the radial engine in a short cowling and the elongated glazed canopy for a crew of two.
Big Ed is a package in which Eduard brings several of its separate accessory sets for one model together into a single item. This piece is built for the SBD-1 Dauntless model in 1:48 scale. Which sets the pack contains and which kit they are cut for is stated by the manufacturer on the box; the accessories are cut for a particular kit, so check this detail before buying.
Before you set to work, go through the instructions for the individual sets and lay out the order. Features for the cockpit and the internal spaces are fitted before the fuselage halves are joined, whereas external details come in turn only on a finished surface. Try every part dry first, degrease the surfaces before gluing and choose the glue according to the material the part in the particular set is made of.
The pack will be appreciated by a modeler who wants the accessories for one model together and does not want to put them together from individual sets. The kit itself, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
