About product

Quickboost: pitot tube of the F-102A Delta Dagger (1:48)

A cast resin pitot tube from the Quickboost brand for a plastic model of the American Convair F-102A Delta Dagger interceptor in 1:48 scale. The aftermarket accessory replaces an easily damaged or coarser plastic part with a more precise and more faithful casting.

The real subject

The Convair F-102A Delta Dagger was an American interceptor aircraft of the 1950s with a characteristic delta wing. It served to defend the airspace and it was part of the air defense of the United States.

Building tips

Wash the part free of mold release agent, separate it from the casting block and glue it on with super glue. The thin tube is fragile, so work with it carefully.

Who it is for

  • For F-102A modelers looking for a more faithful finish of the nose.
  • For builders with experience of small resin parts.
  • As a quick improvement of the detail.

This is an accessory, not an aircraft model. The kit itself and the glue are not included in the package.

FAQ

No. This is a stand-alone resin part for a model of the F-102A Delta Dagger in 1:48 scale, which has to be bought separately.

A resin casting tends to be finer and more precise in shape, and it will replace a factory part that has been damaged.

Super glue (cyanoacrylate), because this is resin, on which cement for plastic has no effect.
