A set of masking stencils for a model of the F-14D carrier-based fighter in 1:48 scale, in the form designated TFace.
Responsibility details are not available.
The F-14 Tomcat is a twin-engine carrier-based fighter with a variable-sweep wing: on take-off from the deck and on landing the wing is spread, and at high speeds it sweeps back. The crew is a pilot and a weapon systems officer, who sit one behind the other under a single large canopy. The F-14D version is the last production form of the type.
This is a set of masks, that is, pre-shaped stencils for the surfaces that are to stay free of paint while spraying. They are most often used on the frames of the canopy glazing, on the wheels and on crisp transitions between color areas. The designation TFace distinguishes this form from the basic masking set for the same aircraft. Exactly what the set covers and which kit it is cut for are given in the manufacturer's instructions, and it is worth checking before buying, because the shape of the frames differs from kit to kit.
The set contains masking stencils. The paints, the glue and the model kit are usually not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
